Job Description

 

The Database Engineer is responsible for developing and managing system databases and associated applications to ensure the confidentiality, security, integrity and availability of credit union data assets, coordinating release updates with multiple vendors and departments within the organization. Develop and maintain documentation which includes: standards, data classification and guidelines to cost effectively develop and manage all credit union databases, regardless of its connectivity to various applications and platforms. This position is also responsible for database oversight within technical architecture and organizational initiatives.

Required Skills

▪ Minimum of seven years working experience and education equivalent in database administration or support is required.

▪ Minimum of five years of experience administering or supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and other similar advanced technologies is required.

▪ Experience with the following is also required: 

  • Managing complex projects involving both in-house staff and 3rd party vendors.
  • Extensive experience in server-client computing and relational database environments.
  • Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers, including SQL and Oracle.
  • Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

▪ Minimum of Associate's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field is required.

▪ Extensive knowledge and understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices.

▪ Extensive knowledge of reporting and query tools and best practices.

▪ Excellent written, presentation and verbal communications skills.

Image Processor: Part-Time (Eau Claire)

Work Schedule

Part-Time, approximately 25 hours per week. Variable hours between 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. This position qualifies for all benefits except medical and dental insurance.

Job Description

The Information Security Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the organization's information security architecture. Work involves improving efficiency, availability, and overall security posture.  The position requires reliance on technical knowledge of security principles, security technologies, networking technologies and protocols, WAN principles, and security best practices.

Required Skills

 

  • Minimum of five years working experience with Information Security, Computer Networking or Information Technology is required.
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Networking is required
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex computer network security infrastructure issues.
