Nominate The Person That Inspires You And Win!

International Credit Union Day (ICU Day) is an international event put on by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) each year to raise awareness of what credit unions do to better the lives of Members as their financial partner. This year, the theme, “Inspiring Hope for a Global Community,” seemed very fitting.  We’d like to learn about the people that inspire hope for our communities and also give back.

To celebrate International Credit Union Day we asked people to nominate someone that has inspired hope within their community. We received many heartwarming stories and winners will be selected at random from all over Royal’s service area. A prize of $25 will be given to the nominators, $50 to the nominees, and $100 to the non-profit of the nominee’s choosing. Winners will be announced on October 15th and contacted via email or phone to inform them of their winnings and arrange for their awards.

This contest will run from October 5, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. to October 12, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of Royal Credit Union team members and up to one (1) winner per community Royal serves will be chosen. Winners will be announced on October 15 on www.rcu.org, and the nominee and nominator will be contacted via the phone by October 19, 2020. First 100 applicants will receive a $10 gift card via e-mail or postal mail. If the prize winners are Royal Credit Union Members, prize money will be deposited in their accounts; if not, arrangements will be made for pre-paid visa cards or checks. The non-profit selected by the nominee must be a certified 501c(3) organization. They must choose their non-profit winner by October 31 for prize money to be awarded. Must be 18 years old or older to participate. Applicants grant Royal Credit Union full permission to use any photographs submitted with the application for any purpose whatsoever. Royal Credit Union has the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or discontinue this contest at any time for any reason.
