Last Year's Charities
The Community Table – Eau Claire
Since 1993, The Community Table has provided those
in need with nourishment in the Eau Claire community
and beyond. Currently, The Community Table serves
one meal each day, 365 days a year on a no questions
asked basis. Anyone can join the table during meal
time. The Community Table is a collaborative effort
of local churches, food banks, and many concerned
individuals, businesses, and civic and social groups.
Each day volunteers, guests, and staff share a table,
coming together over the most basic human needs—
breaking down barriers and building community.
Whether hungry in body or spirit, individuals are
always welcome to join the table.
St. Vincent de Paul Food Shelf – Rice Lake
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers assistance to
those in need on a person-to-person basis. It is this
personalized involvement that makes the work of the
Society unique. The St. Vincent de Paul Food Shelf in
Rice Lake opened in 1990. It serves meals four days
a week and groceries are available for pick up twice
a week. It is the largest meal site and food pantry in
a multi-county area. Guests from Rice Lake, Barron,
Cumberland, Cameron, and Chetek are all served
by the St. Vincent de Paul Food Shelf. St. Vincent de
Paul Food Shelf also provides financial outreach
services like utility and prescription drug assistance.
