Store your important items in your own private box at RCU. Although many people like to keep valuables close by in a closet, safe, or file cabinet at home or in the office, these places probably are not as resistant to fire, water, or theft as
they should be. Also, some insurance companies charge lower insurance premiums on valuables kept in a safe deposit box instead of at home. So secure your valuables at RCU.

	Common Items
	Important Papers Safeguard originals of your insurance policies; family records such as birth, marriage, divorce, and death certificates; original deeds, titles, mortgages, leases, and other contracts; stocks, bonds, and certificates. Proof of Home Contents Make a record of your household and office contents for insurance purposes (in case of theft or damage). Negatives or Photos Protect your photo collection. In the event of a fire or other disaster, losing a lifetime of photos can be a devastating loss. Most homeowner’s policies will pay replacement costs but can’t replace photos. Collectables Keep jewels, medals, rare stamps, and other valuables in your box.

No insurance coverage is provided on box contents by RCU. Many homeowner’s or tenant’s insurance policies cover contents up to a certain amount, including items lost or damaged when they are out of the box. (Check with your insurance agent.)
