Courtney Ricci, Branch Manager at Royal Credit Union’s Altoona office, has graduated from the National Credit Union Foundation Development Educators (CUDE) & program.
The CUDE program helps credit union professionals gain a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and financial barriers that can prevent individuals and families from achieving financial success. Through the program's Development Education philosophy, participants explore how credit unions can create positive change by expanding access to financial services, education, and community resources.
For Courtney, her favorite part of the CUDE program experience was getting the opportunity to develop a project centered around Royals' mission, focusing on creating a positive impact for her team, the organization, and the community.
Following the program, Courtney hopes to increase awareness of the CUDE program among fellow credit union professionals and encourage others to explore the experience with their leaders. She also looks forward to helping her team connect with the credit union mission and gain a deeper understanding of the impact they make in Members' lives.
“While I was already passionate about the Credit Union Movement and the 'People Helping People' philosophy, this experience truly reenergized and reaffirmed that passion,” said Courtney. “It also allowed me to build lasting friendships and meaningful connections with peers from across the country. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity and appreciate Royal’s continued investment in its team members.”
Courtney has worked for Royal since May 2018, starting out as a Member Account Representative. Since then, she has held the roles of Branch Supervisor, Branch Manager, and Branch Manager II.
