Cody Kroening, Business Banking Officer at Royal Credit Union, was awarded with two local leadership honors: the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC) Rising Star award, as well as the “Mover & Shaker” award within his Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Leadership in the Valley (LITV) program.
The VHEDC Rising Star Award honors young professionals in the northeast Twin Cities metro who demonstrate strong leadership, business initiative, and meaningful community involvement. Recipients are selected based on their career growth, innovative thinking, relationship building, and long-term leadership potential within the community.
Cody was also named Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce LITV “Mover & Shaker,” an honor given to a cohort member who exemplifies collaboration, engagement, and leadership throughout the program. Cody was presented the award at the LITV graduation ceremony and was given the opportunity to represent his graduating class by speaking at the event. Cody plans to continue his involvement through the LITV Alumni Steering Committee.
Cody received these awards as a result of his involvement and dedication to his community. Since joining Royal in 2017, Cody has served Members in a variety of roles before finding his passion in business banking. Beyond his professional role, he is deeply engaged in the communities he serves. He is an active member of Northeast Metro Young Professionals, Royal Young Professionals, and serves as an Ambassador for the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce. He also contributes his time through leadership and volunteer roles, including serving on the FamilyMeans Next Generation Council and the VHEDC Board, as well as volunteering with Friends of Interstate Park, Standing Cedars Land Conservancy, and local food shelves.
Through both his career and volunteer efforts, Cody consistently exemplifies exceptional care, generosity, and leadership, strengthening the communities he is part of and supporting the people within them.
