EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Royal Credit Union was recently awarded 2023 Business of the Year at the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce Business to Bravo event. The Business of the Year award was newly established in 2021 making Royal the third recipient.
The award annually recognizes one business that has over 50 employees, has demonstrated stability or growth in sales, products, or services, and has a high impact on the local economy. Recipients must also exhibit community leadership though employee development, ethical business practices, and community giveback.

Royal was selected as a result of their commitment to giving back to local non-profits through volunteer service and donations as well as its long-standing commitment to the economic development of the Chippewa Valley. In 2005, Royal decided to build their corporate headquarters in downtown Eau Claire helping to spark the revitalization of the area. In 2022, Royal opened new offices in downtown Eau Claire and Altoona and remodeled its old office on Birch Street to serve as their Mortgage Operations Center. Royal was also recognized for its focus on developing its team members and promoting from within, with leader and non-leader tracks to encourage career advancement. Last year, Royal received the Young Professionals Best Place to Work Bravo to Business Award.
