Join us Saturday, June 22, 2024! The Royal Credit Union Foundation is proud to support three animal rescue organizations through our Rock the Riverfront Event.
Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic
The RCU Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic has something for everyone! Run or walk one of the Chippewa Valley’s most beautiful routes. Also enjoy fun family activities in Phoenix Park, located in downtown Eau Claire.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Charity Classic, we will be donating a total of $30,000 to our nonprofit partners. Proceeds from the 2024 event will benefit three animal rescue organizations: Chippewa Humane Association, Dunn County Humane Society, and Eau Claire County Humane Association.
Registration
This year we’re celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Charity Classic! In-person registration includes shirt, sunglasses, bib, food truck meal ticket, charity vote, and chip timing with results posting and place medals!
Virtual registration includes shirt, sunglasses, bib, and charity vote. All items will be shipped after June 22 free of charge!
Prices are set by race distance -- 10K, 2 Mile, 1/2 Mile Youth, 1/4 Mile Youth -- See registration prices below. Prices are the same for in-person or virtual registration.

Charities
Recognizing the important role that household pets play in many people’s lives, our 2024 Rock the Riverfront event will benefit three local animal rescue organizations. These organizations are committed to providing care to animals while they wait for a second chance at finding loving families.

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Charity Classic, we will be donating a total of $30,000 to our nonprofit partners. All three will benefit, but YOU get to choose the big winner! Get one free vote with race registration. Additional votes can be purchased to help the charity of your choice win the big prize.

We are excited to offer a special, commemorative pet bandana available for $5 in our merchandise store. Dogs that are well behaved, socialized, and up to date on vaccinations are welcome at the event as well.

Additional Tips
- Free parking will be available in the Galloway Street ramp on the north side of the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center.
- Walk-in registration ends 30 minutes before each race.
- A bag drop will be available at no charge for participants.
- Walkers and people with strollers or pets are asked to line up at the back.
- Age group awards will be given at the end of each race.
Medals and Awards
In-person participants with fastest times in their age group will win a medal!
For in-person races, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award medals will be given to the top male and top female 10K and 2 Mile finishers in the following age categories: 0-10, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
ALL youth ½ mile and ¼ mile race participants will receive a youth finisher medal.
Activities
In addition to the race, Rock the Riverfront has some great activities for runners and non-runners to enjoy. In the months leading up to the event, we will have a coloring contest and our Youth and Classic Rock Hunts. On the day of the event, Phoenix Park will be filled with food trucks, kid’s carnival games, face painting, a balloon artist, a dunk tank, and a cash grab wind tunnel. We can’t wait for the whole family to join us for all the fun while raising money for a great cause. Please note: for safety reasons, we won't be offering inflatables or bounce houses at this year's event.
Youth Rock Hunt
The Rock Hunt just for kids is back and starts on Friday, June 3! The Youth Rock Hunt gives kids and families the opportunity to find one of eight small rocks and win a Piggy Bank filled with $50. There is one rock hidden in each of the following communities: Altoona, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Medford, Menomonie, Rice Lake and Whitehall. The Youth Rock Hunt will end on June 10. Classic Rock Hunt
Our popular Rock Hunt is back and starts on Monday, June 17. As usual, the Rock could be hidden in any of the counties where our partner charities are headquartered!
