MoneyPass ATM Network Change
As of February 14, 2022, Royal Credit Union Members may use their Royal debit cards or ATM cards at MoneyPass network ATMs without incurring a surcharge. Members using CO-OP network ATMs on or after February 14, 2022, may begin incurring a surcharge. Royal will refund any CO-OP surcharges for at least 3 months after this date to allow Members time to locate a surcharge-free ATM.
MoneyPass is a nationwide ATM network that Royal has chosen to replace the CO-OP network. With this change, Royal Members will continue to have surcharge-free access to over 40,000 ATMs throughout the U.S.
Starting February 14, 2022, you can use Royal’s updated Locations tools on our website or our mobile app to locate a surcharge-free ATM near you. You can also identify which ATM network(s) an ATM belongs to from the network logo(s) shown on the machine. Royal Members may use any of the following ATM networks to check balances or make transactions without surcharges: MoneyPass (starting February 14, 2022), Visa Plus Alliance (Plus), or Alliance One.
This change does not affect Royal-owned ATMs, such as those at Royal offices, which are always surcharge free for our Members. Also note that not all ATMs have surcharges. For example, some convenience store chains waive all ATM surcharges regardless of card type.
There is no need to request a new Royal debit or ATM card for this change. Royal will be replacing these cards as they expire with new cards that have updated ATM network logos on the back of the card.
