Royal Career Spotlight – Cooper Larson

Meet Cooper Larson, Community Financial Education Coordinator at Royal Credit Union. Cooper’s journey with Royal began in college as a marketing intern. Her positive experience and love for Royal’s culture brought her back, and she joined Royal’s financial education team in August 2018. Since then, her passion for the Credit Union Difference has shaped her career. As a Community Financial Education Coordinator, some of her responsibilities include overseeing local financial education partnerships, managing financial education social media content, running Test Drive events, leading the Go Big or Go Broke initiative, and hosting the Money Donuts podcast.

Cooper has also served on many local boards and led Royal’s Young Professionals group as President for two years. Her dedication to credit union advocacy shined through her work as the Credit Union Young Professionals Activist (2022-2023), where she met with state and federal lawmakers to promote the Credit Union Difference. She earned the World Young Credit Union Professionals scholarship, which took her to the Sicredi Super Summit in Brazil, an event focused on empowering women and youth in financial institutions.

One of Cooper’s most rewarding experiences is building partnerships with local businesses, senior centers, and correctional facilities. At correctional facilities, she helps individuals reenter society and regain financial stability, making a real impact, even in small ways.

Cooper encourages others to get involved, ask questions, and explore different areas to discover what truly excites them. She believes Royal is a shining example of an organization that supports team member growth and development.
