In June of 1991, Pat Gunderson joined Royal Credit Union as a part-time teller. She has touched the lives and the hearts of many Members and team members over nearly three decades. Today, after more than 28 years of making a positive impact in her profession, Pat is retiring. We are proud to share a little about Pat and her impact at Royal before she begins her retirement journey.
After joining Royal in 1991, Pat worked her way up the teller ranks at our Eau Claire South office near the intersection of Golf Road and Highway 93. She has served as a teller, teller II, teller team lead, and for the past 15 years, teller supervisor. In this role, she ensures daily operational success by coaching, mentoring, and training the teller team. Pat also manages cash usage and handles Member concerns.
Pat has had a positive impact in the lives and careers of many Royal team members over the years. She worked side-by-side at the South Office with Brandon Riechers, Royal’s current president & CEO. She is a beloved figure in her office. Pat’s weekends at the office are known as “Paturdays” because she brings in a two-course meal for the team members working that weekend. Pat says she has enjoyed her time working at Royal.
“I like the people and the culture at RCU,” Pat said. “The company treats its Members and team members well and lives its core purpose and values. I will miss my friends and have really enjoyed my time at RCU.”
Upon retirement, Pat plans to spend more time with her family, including four grandchildren and another one on the way! She says she looks forward to traveling but also intends to take some time to slow down and enjoy life.
Pat’s positive personality and commitment to Royal’s core purpose and values will be missed. Her bright light and glowing personality have left a mark on Royal that will continue to be felt for years to come.
