Happy Retirement, Natalie!

Congratulations to Natalie Velie on her retirement! Natalie is a Systems Analyst and her last day with Royal will be June 3, 2024.

Natalie started at Royal in June 1981. During this time, she has held various roles including Teller, Member Service Supervisor, and Senior Accountant. In 1990, Natalie transitioned into her current role as a Systems Analyst. She is responsible for the creation and maintenance of online documents in DNA Online Print, Velocity, and LifeCycle. While working for Royal, Natalie assisted the Accounting team with several mergers and acquisitions – including our Whitehall office and Eau Claire Co-op Oil. After transitioning to IT, she was involved with the set-up and move into our corporate center building, which included many hours wiring and setting up phones and workstations on the desks.

After learning about credit unions, Natalie was impressed by the Member-owned, not-for-profit business model. This is what prompted her to apply at Royal when she moved back to the area after her college graduation, and this is what has kept her with the company. When asked what Natalie will miss the most when working at Royal, she said she will miss the amazing people she has had the privilege to work with, and being part of an organization that is driven by the needs of its Members and communities.

In her retirement, Natalie will be visiting her kids and grandchildren in La Crosse, Milwaukee, and Ohio often – and will never miss a grandkid event. She will be traveling a lot, some of which will include rides on her e-bike so she can keep up with her husband.

Thank you, Natalie, for your 43 years of dedication to our Members, team members, and communities. You have truly made a difference!
