2021 Rock the Riverfront Supports the Arts

The RCU Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic is celebrating 27 years of running and walking to support organizations that make a difference in our communities. This year we are raising the curtain, supporting the arts, and letting you set the stage for your own virtual adventure!

The performing arts will be hard-hit by COVID-19, with estimated losses of 1.4 million jobs and $42.5 billion in sales. So this year, we’re partnering with local arts organizations:

  • Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild in Eau Claire seeks to produce a broad spectrum of high-quality theatrical presentations, delight and challenge audiences, provide hands-on learning experiences in all aspects of the theatre for children and adults, and nurture and celebrate the achievements of its volunteers.
  • Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls is a catalyst for artistic expression and education to enrich the Chippewa Valley and beyond.
  • Northern Star Theatre Company in Rice Lake has a mission to build community through the creative collaborative process involved in bringing a production to the stage.

All three will benefit, but your votes determine the outcome: The charity with the most votes will receive $15,000, second place will receive $7,500, and third will receive $5,000.

Each registration includes a free charity vote and Rock the Riverfront has special early bird pricing through April 4. You can complete the run/walk anytime between June 5 and June 28 and record your time.
